Sick of the "magic unmounting" eDrive? - Gordon Alley

Renaming the eDrive may keep it from unmounting, but it isn't necessary for putting other apps on the drive. Just boot from the eDrive and install or copy whatever you need from your normal boot drive. I've kept a copy of DiskWarrior on my eDrive since the eDrive feature was intruduced. I believe I did have to change the permissions on its Applications folder, though.

Problem with UPS - cmasto

2.1.4 has been available for about a week. I forgot to update VersionTracker. But in general, if it stops working, just check our web site for an update.

Stupid question - Gordon Alley

If you've already registered v3.x, you shouldn't have a problem.

I had v3.0.1 installed. I replaced it with v3.0.2. It's still registered.

for Intel macs? - Gordon Alley

It's an updater. After applying the update, my Adobe Reader app is NOT identified as a Universal Binary.

Serial Number? - Gordon Alley

If you read the "What's new in this version" item, you'll see the following:
[This beta release] "is only available to current owners of TechTool Pro 4 with a valid serial number."

The Best! - shaunmcdonald131

In toast save to a disc image. Then send that disc image through toast again in the disc tab. It does a wonderful job.

N52 Nostromo and Mac 10.4 Tiger - JHGRedekop

I got the N52 working!

Belkin was no help. They basically said that they do not support OS X 10.4 -- they only go up to 10.3.

So I got a copy of ControllerMate v4 (http://www.orderedbytes.com/), and that did the trick. You don't have to do the fancy programming for it (in fact, that didn't work). Here's what you do:

- Run ControllerMate
- Drag the n52 icon from the pallet to under the word "Start Page" in the area on the left
- Click "Automatically scroll table"
- Press a button on the controller
- Pick a keystroke from the "Behaviour" drop-down menu at the bottom.
- Repeat the last three (including re-clicking "scroll table") for every button.

It works great now!

Unfortunately, the fancy programming wasn't quite working, because it would send the keystroke assigned to the key *plus* whatever you program for it. Not really useful.

Don't Use Version Tracker to Download Updates - Gordon Alley

The moral of this story is that, when you update a piece of software, you should always keep a copy of at least one old version that works for you, until you are sure that you are satisfied with the update.

I like Pando very much for its service but... - jlpirotte

Thanks for your comment, therefore I will NOT download it!

Bah... - mi3key

You can always manually re-encode the output by feeding it through again. Just make sure to do it an even number of times, because the odd iterations are more prone to casual decryption.

Re: POOR - mi3key

The product is not meant to work with 10.5. The list above has 10.4 intel & PPC as the maximum supported configuration. We'll have to wait for the Leopard upgrade to Firefox.
